Sophie\u2019s interest in environmental sustainability stems from her biodiesel synthesis research for Feinstein Institute\u2019s Medical Marvels competition in high school.  Sophie\u2019s AP research project focused on optimizing the transesterification process for biodiesel from algal biomass.
