Angela is a sophomore in UB Honors College pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree. Currently, she is a part of the Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) and Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) program. Both programs seek to aid historically underrepresented minority students majoring in STEM with graduate school preparation. She is also conducting research in methane oxidation over Pd/SSZ-13 using Density Functional Theory (DFT). Her interest in computational chemistry began when she finished her first year at UB and completed Chemistry II and an engineering computations course. Along with being able to code in MATLAB, she hopes to learn different programming languages such as Python and Linux. After she graduates, she intends to go to graduate school to obtain a PhD in engineering.
